At Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, your home base at Disney World is more than just a place to sleep, it’s part of the whole tropical escape.
Every building at this resort is named after a Caribbean island, and each one brings its own colourful flair. Think pastel island vibes, characterful ceiling fans, and rooms laid out with park-weary families in mind.
It is by no means a small resort, as it's actually one of the largest on the Disney World property, but, while the resort sprawls, the range of room categories lets guests tailor trips to suit their pace, budget, and crew size.
Here, we take a close look at the room options at Caribbean Beach resort, so you can pick the room that’s a perfect fit before you even pack your flip-flops.
Standard rooms
These are the resort’s bread-and-butter rooms.
They feature two queen beds, bright island-inspired artwork, and practical touches like drawers and a storage bench for bags.
Guests will find a large TV, multiple USB ports, and outlets on both sides of the bed for easy device charging.

The under-bed storage is ideal for stowing suitcases out of sight, freeing up floor space for little ones to play.
Bathrooms are cleverly split into a dual-sink vanity area (great for morning traffic jams) and a separate toilet/shower room.
Guests can make use of Disney toiletries, a magnifying mirror, and a hairdryer.

Preferred rooms
Preferred Rooms match this layout exactly but are in prime buildings near Old Port Royale’s dining, the main pool, and the Skyliner.
For families with strollers or anyone who wants to avoid long walks after fireworks, taking up this location upgrade can be worth every penny.

Fifth sleeper rooms
Perfect for a family of five, these have the same queen-bed setup as Standard Rooms but add a pull-down bed hidden in the wall unit.
The bed features charming Mickey and Pluto artwork, and while it’s perfect for a child, teens or adults over 5’7” may find it short.

This room type is a smart way to keep everyone in one room without moving up to a deluxe resort.
King rooms
A favourite for couples or solo travellers, request one of Caribbean Beach's King Rooms - here, you'll get just one, larger bed in the room and unlock some of that extra floor space for a little extra elbow room.
Guests appreciate the space for luggage (or, indeed, shopping bags!).

These rooms are also a popular choice for couples travelling with younger kids, as the space allows plenty of room for a crib.
It's recommended that guests make their room requests in good time, ahead of their trip, as these rooms are limited in number.
Mermaid rooms
Once home to the resort’s Pirate Rooms, Caribbean Beach's Trinidad section is was reimagined into Little Mermaid-themed spaces back in 2023.
Guests can enjoy playful under-the-sea décor paired with the same practical layout as standard rooms.
These themed rooms have proven popular, especially with younger children, and families who want a splash of Disney character without paying deluxe resort rates.
Comforts and facilities
Every room at Caribbean Beach has a Joffrey’s coffee maker, a beverage cooler (not a full fridge), and ample outlets and USB ports.
Cribs and rollaways are available on request, and housekeeping now visits every other day unless you ask for more. Coin laundry rooms are available in each village.
Check-in starts at 3:00 pm, checkout is 11:00 am, and early or late options can be requested (but are subject to availability).
Note, there are no elevators in the accommodation blocks at Caribbean Beach, so guests should request ground-floor rooms if they have a stroller or mobility concerns.
