The Carnival Legend cruise ship is headed for Hawaii, the cruise line revealed as it announced more of its slate for 2027.
Carnival has now opened bookings for three of its US 'homeports' namely Long Beach, California, Norfolk, Virginia, and Baltimore, Maryland.
“From Baltimore to Norfolk and Long Beach, we’re proud to bring guests more opportunities to depart closer to home on itineraries that feature incredible destinations," said Christine Duffy, Carnival Cruise Line president.
The Carnival Legend will operate out of Long Beach, to run Carnival's first-ever dedicated series of Hawaii cruises from the California port.
It will feature ten 14-day Hawaii sailings calling Honolulu, Maui, Kauai, Hilo and Kona, with a stop in Ensenada, plus six- and eight-day Mexican Riviera cruises include ports such as Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz and Ensenada.
At the same time, Carnival Freedom is moving from Port Canaveral, Florida, to Norfolk, Virginia, where it will run sailings to the Caribbean (and also Canada).
Amongst the schedule, Freedom will head to the Southern Caribbean with a 15 day itinerary calling into Aruba, Curaçao, Grenada, Barbados, St. Lucia, Antigua, St. Maarten and St. Thomas.

Carnival said it will be its most diverse program out of Norfolk to date. It will comprise trips to the Bahamas, plus sailings in the Eastern Caribbean, as well as heading north to destinations in Canada.
Carnival Pride, meanwhile, will continue year-round operations out of Baltimore with sailings to the Bahamas, Bermuda, and the Southern Caribbean.

“This update to our 2027/28 represents important pieces of our strategy to deliver more fun experiences that only Carnival can offer," added Carnival's Christine Duffy.
"With fun on the move, we’re creating new options – a newer ship for Norfolk and a new series dedicated to Hawaii sailings from Long Beach are both great examples of that.
"We’re also continuing our commitments in all our homeports, and Carnival Pride’s year-round deployment in Baltimore is a testament to that as well.”
Guests can now book one of ten Hawaii sailings on Carnival Legend, departing between October 2027 and March 2028.
