The Walt Disney World Resort has announced that it will mark Hispanic & Latin American Heritage Month with music, food, parades and art across all four parks and Disney Springs - between 15 September 15 and 15 October.
The celebrations, 'DisneyFamilia', open with Grammy-winning Latin pop duo Bacilos serving as grand marshals at Magic Kingdom ahead of the Festival of Fantasy parade, and they will then take to EPCOT's Eat to the Beat stage that night.
At Magic Kingdom, Disney highlighted that guests will spot Bruno from Encanto and Miguel from Coco in the twice-daily Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, and catch the new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, where illuminated floats also feature characters from both Encanto and Coco.
The character fun doesn't end there. Mirabel greets guests at Fairytale Garden, on the doorstep of Magic Kingdom's castle, while the Disney PhotoPass photographers offers Magic Shots with Mirabel and Bruno.
Also at Magic Kingdom, the Skipper Canteen adds Latin-inspired dishes like 'Dr. Falls Signature Grilled Steak'.
There is, of course, merchandise too, including themed ears and Loungefly products.
Over at EPCOT, Disney World layers on music and flavor with ¡Celebración Encanto! bringing family sing-alongs, the Mariachi Cobre performers can be found in the Mexico pavillion.
During the month, the Eat to the Beat series features Hispanic & Latin American acts including Bacilos (Sept 15), La Calle Band (Sept 16–18), Sheila E (Sept 19–20), Jesse & Joy (Sept 28–29) and Latin Ambition (Oct 14–16), with dining packages available each night.
Elsewhere at Magic Kingdom, the Viva Gaia Street Band! brings Caribbean rhythms to Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios spotlights Hispanic-inspired bites at ABC Commissary and Coco merchandise at Beverly Sunset Boutique.
At Disney Springs, Latin muralists will splash vibrant art, whilst some of the food spots will serve up exclusive limited-time treats like Horchata Mousse at Amorette’s, Dulce de Leche Ganache Pops at The Ganachery and Croquetas de Pollo at Jaleo by José Andrés.
