Put down the ice lolly, set aside the sunscreen and pack away the beachwear ... because, for Disney World, it's time to start talking about the Christmas holidays!

Disney has today announced details for some of its festive plans for 2025 (and, is preparing to put ticket and perks offers on sale).

From 14 November, the Disney World resort will be transformed overnight into a holiday wonderland, through until 23 December.

Theme parks and hotels will be adorned with festive decor, themed eats, and special entertainment. The festive magic will, as always, span Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom, Disney Springs, and resort hotels.

From Cinderella Castle’s “Frozen Holiday Surprise” to Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar in Disney Springs, guests of all ages can immerse themselves in seasonal cheer across the four theme parks and beyond.

Within the festive period, from 28 November to 30 December, Disney World hosts the Epcot International Festival of the Holidays.

In this time, Disney World will delight guests with special events and celebrations like the Candlelight Processional, the JOYFUL! concerts, World Showcase Storytellers, and Olaf’s Holiday Scavenger Hunt.

Across the rest of the Disney World resort, the other holidays this year bring Magic Kingdom’s garland-draped Main Street and the world-famous Jingle Cruise (the annual festive re-imagining of the Jungle Cruise ride) adds yuletide glee,

Guests can cheer at the specially ticketed event, the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

Meanwhile, over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, guests can sing along at “For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration” and marvel at the Tower Hotel’s gingerbread makeovers in “Sunset Seasons Greetings”.

At Animal Kingdom, the park comes alive after dark with the “Tree of Life Awakenings Holiday Edition” and artisan-sculpted puppets in the Merry Menagerie.

Disney released much more detail about its festive celebrations via the Disney Parks Blog.

And, if you're ready to put summer aside for a moment, there's a special offer on Disney World vacation packages for the festive season - for guests who book before 10 July. The deal from Disney gives guests up to 20% in savings, plus a $100 Disney shopping and dining gift card.
