Planning a trip to Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort?

Whether you’re flying in, arriving by train, or driving, this guide will help you navigate your way to this fun-filled, budget-friendly Disney resort.

Here we break down the popular transport options for guests heading into ‘the Disney bubble’.

Orlando International Airport (MCO)

The nearest airport to Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort is Orlando International Airport (MCO), which is about 22 miles away.

Typically, the drive takes around 30 minutes, but it will depend on the time of day and traffic.

If you’re planning to use a ride-hailing app like Uber, the cost is usually around $35 to $50, though prices can vary depending on the time of day and demand.

Disney no longer provide the complimentary ‘Magical Express’ coach transfer from the airport, and Uber or Lyft are convenient options; there are still easy-to-access paid-for bus and minibus transfers.

Also, it's an international airport, so there's a wide range of car hire providers to choose from if you want to drive yourself.

Besides MCO, the next nearest international airport is Orlando Sanford International Airport. It is a bit further away at about 44 miles, with an estimated transfer time of around 50 minutes by car.

Nearest Train Station

If you’re arriving by train, the Orlando Amtrak Station is the closest rail link, located approximately 20 miles from the All Star Sports Resort.

The transfer time is similar to that of the airport, around 30 minutes. The resort does not offer a free shuttle service for train arrivals either, so you’ll need to arrange your own transportation.

An Uber from the train station likely costs between $30 and $40, depending on traffic.

Or drive in

For guests driving to Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort, the road links are excellent.

The resort is located off West Buena Vista Drive, easily accessible from the major highways around Orlando, such as Interstate 4 (I-4).

If you're driving from out of town or renting a car during your stay, you’ll find convenient access to the resort.

As for parking, the resort provides on-site parking, but it’s not free.

Guests staying at Disney resorts can ‘self park’ for free, but valet parking comes with a nightly charge - applied to your room bill, so be prepared to budget for it if you’re bringing your own vehicle.
