MSC Cruise opens booking window for Alaska 2027 sailings

MSC Cruises has now opened sales for its Summer 2027 Alaska program that will include a refurbished MSC Poesia cruise ship.

Poesia, which will undergo upgrade work ahead of the Alaska 2026 and 2027 schedule, is slated to run seven-night round-trip sailings out of Seattle, between April and September in 2027.

These sailings will include port stays such as Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, Juneau and Victoria, and will give guests classic Alaska 'Inside Passage' vista and opportunities for wildlife spotting.

Poesia's upgrade will see a new luxury 'ship within a ship' experience for premium guests with 'Yacht Club' bookings.

All guests, meanwhile, can enjoy new venues such as Butcher’s Cut steakhouse, Kaito Sushi Bar and the All-Stars Sports Bar, alongside a refreshed MSC Aurea Spa and an enhanced MSC Gym Powered by Technogym, which are all also being added through the refurbishment.

"People from all over the world want to see Alaska and an MSC Cruise is the best way to do it," said MSC Cruises North America Lynn Torrent.

"Demand for Alaska cruises is strong and adding another season in the region is a direct response to the feedback we’re getting from guests and our travel advisors.

"We know they’ll love the European style and American comfort available aboard MSC Poesia.”

MSC also highlighted its offering of Alaska excursions that range from cultural tours to kayaking and bear-spotting.

Alongside today's announcement, the cruise line also revealed a “experience of a lifetime” cruise, an 18-night voyage through which Poesia will reposition from Miami to the Pacific Northwest, via central America and the Panama Canal.

The cruise line confirmed that bookings are now open for both the final 2026 cabins and newly released 2027 dates, including Yacht Club suites aboard MSC Poesia.
