MSC Cruises has announced it will bring 'Texas flavor' to the MSC Seascape this winter, when the ship begins sailing from Galveston.
An expanded entertainment lineup tailored to its new homeport has been unveiled ahead of a schedule of weekly 7-night Western Caribbean sailings from the Texan port.
"MSC Seascape will blend the heart of Texas with the soul of the Caribbean," said Steve Leatham, MSC cruises VP of entertainment.
"Guests can expect an enhanced selection of uniquely Texan experiences and island-inspired entertainment."
"From beloved shows and Broadway-style performances to never-before-seen concepts, our entertainment offerings will bring a lively energy that’s sure to activate the ship and bring our guests to their feet.”
MSC said the revamped Texas-inspired offering will include a resident country music band, dedicated country line-dance classes, a Dueling Pianos show in the Uptown Lounge, as well as steel-drum musician bringing a more Caribbean flavor.
Also, MSC Seascape guests can look forward to “The Big Texas Sailaway Party,” US and Texas sports streamed on giant screens across the ship, and comedy sets from American comedians in the ship's theatre.
These new elements will be performed alongside MSC's show schedule that includes IMAGINOCEAN, an ocean-themed production complete with aerial and flying acts, plus aquatic animal puppetry, singers and dancers, and, DREAMSCAPE, a fantasy world created by circus performers, dancers and singers.
Also in the theatre, there are the song and dance fare that feature shows entitled IN CONCERT, PREMIERE, SHALL WE DANCE and LOVE BLOOMS.
Elsewhere on the ship, there are late-night parties and variety acts in Le Cabaret Rouge, along with other entertainment attractions like an interactive XD cinema experience, ROBOTRON, and a Formula Racer simulator.
Steve Leatham added: "MSC Seascape is bringing big energy and even bigger experiences to Galveston with remarkable entertainment options that blend local flavors with top-notch productions to offer countless hours of vibrant shows and experiences for everyone."
MSC Seascape boasts 11 dining venues, 19 bars and lounges, six pools including an infinity pool at the rear of the ship.
