British Airways is planning to run rewards flights, bookable with Avios points, in August to Majorca and Crete.

Every seat on both services is bookable exclusively using Avios points. Both flights depart - to Palma and Heraklion - from Heathrow on Saturday 14 August 2027 and return on Saturday 21 August 2027, giving customers a week-long window in peak summer.

The flight to Palma route costs 28,000 Avios plus £5 return in Euro Traveller, or 49,000 Avios plus £40 return in Club Europe, with checked baggage included.

The Heraklion route costs 33,500 Avios plus £5 return in Euro Traveller, or 60,000 Avios plus £40 return in Club Europe.

BA, announcing the promotion, said seats are open to members of The British Airways Club, the airline's free loyalty programme, and go on sale from 22 October.

The airline first launched Avios-Only flights in 2023 to guarantee reward seats on popular leisure routes during busy travel periods; and it highlighted that it has run more than 50 since, across Europe, the Caribbean, Africa and the Middle East.

"With return flights available from as little as £5 plus Avios, we're helping customers make their holiday plans more accessible," said Adam Daniels, chief executive of IAG Loyalty.
