Port Orleans Riverside

Walt Disney World · Orlando

Port Orleans Riverside trades the buzz of the Disney bubble for something slower-paced and distinctly Southern. The resort splits between two very different feels: the grand white-column mansions of Magnolia Bend and the rustic backwoods cottages of Alligator Bayou, all set along the Sassagoula River. A short walk connects you to sister resort French Quarter, where you can pick up beignets and gumbo without leaving the property. The pool area, Ol' Man Island, is a genuine highlight — a three-acre spot with a sawmill waterslide, a catch-and-release fishing hole, and evening campfires. Royal Guest Rooms add a princess-and-Tiana theme for younger Disney fans, and the resort is one of the few on property that welcomes dogs. Worth noting: room refurbishments are ongoing from May 2025 through August 2027, so some disruption is possible.
