Absolute gem of a hotel. Can't wait to return.

My little boy and I have started a lil tradition of a mother and son trip away every Easter hol came across the Riverside on booking.com. What a find it was! Spotless clean, beautiful rooms, the food was absolutely delicious also. The breakfast was by far one of the best we have ever had in a hotel stay. The bathroom was fully stocked with clean fresh towels, toilet roll and Voya toiletries. The pool area was also spotless clean with lovely showering facilities. The decor of the hotel was just fab! So modern but also so very cosy too. The staff were absolutely amazing. The nicest staff I've ever encountered in anywhere we have stayed. So, so friendly and my little boy even got an Easter egg upon check in which was so cute! We ate in the Alamo restaurant the night we stayed and the food was amazing as were the staff. I would 100% return and am looking forward to doing so. Will def be recommending the Riverside to everyone. Unbelievable value for money!

Great family hotel

I stayed thurs to sat over easter hols with my 5 kids, ages 17, 15, 11, 8 and newborn. All in executive family room .Good hotel for kids. Friendly reception. Very clean. Nice big bar, lots of atmosphere and staff who are all really friendly and helpful. Tv s in room have loads of channels, Netflix etc. Beds comfy. Food in bar was lovely, kids portions were huge, should have only got kids portion myself! Fish m chips was so fr3sh, meat in kids burgers was good quality. Same with breakfast, not a greasy plate of a fry. Really nice quality and loads of choice for buffet. Pool lovely too. Changing rooms nice and warm and spotless. Kids club was grand 1st night, didn't happen 2nd night as no1 signed up. My kids enjoyed it tho. Only thing is uv to pay for kids club 10e each r discount for siblings. Nice playground next to hotel. Lots of parking. All round a good stay 😊

Another fantastic stay

Just back from my 3rd stay at the Riverside Park and yet again it was a fantastic stay from start to finish. I stayed for two nights with my two small children and my friend also joined us this time with her two small children. I had told her numerous times about how great this hotel was so I was really hoping it was going to be the standard I had experienced previously. From the moment we arrived, every single staff member we came across was so pleasant and friendly. It’s so rare these days unfortunately but everyone from the young chap on reception checking us in, the housekeeping staff, the bar and restaurant staff, leisure club, kids club, maintenance guys, everyone was so lovely. The rooms were fab, water stations on each floor is so handy. We stayed in 225 & 226 and the rooms were perfect. They gave the kids Easter eggs on arrival had an Easter hunt which really kept them entertained and they got an ice cream at the end of it which was a really lovely touch. The pool was lovely and warm and so were the changing rooms. Breakfast was lovely, the food in the prom bar was fab. We didn’t get to eat In Alamo this time but I’ve eaten there before and it was lovely. We were nervous about sending the kids to the kids club for the first time but they said they had the “best time ever” We had a list of things to see and do in Wexford while we were there but we actually barely did anything as we were so happy and entertained in the hotel. The playground outside is fantastic too. We also managed to have a cocktail while we were there and they were really delicious. There’s literally nothing negative I could say about this hotel, a really great experience and we can’t wait to return.

Reused Food

Let me be direct, Guinness was poor so went on Smitwicks, that was rotten, went on Draught Corona, flat, 2 of us had Steak Sandwich, it was like leather and Gristle mixed, told the waiter, no one acknowledged, I got full breakfast, egg was hard and a piece of bacon had egg stains on it as if it was left on someone else's plate and used again, disgusting, staff and room were fine but we won't be back

The perfect meal

Originally it was a table of four but Elaine was more than acommodating to make it a table of six, herself an claudia looked after us so well, highly recommend the alamo for any occasion u will never leave unhappy , attention to detail is second to none !!
