Lovely Hotel Great accommodation Lovely food Great Staff All staff 100% but Dillon & Nico in the Blackrock bar restaurant are 200% both valued assets to the hotel with their memory and attention to detail with all guests they make you want to book another stay. Also if you book directly with the hotel its a lot cheaper than going through Booking.com plus car parking is free as opposed to €5 a night when you book through Booking.com

Best hotel on Galway Bay!

Always a pleasant and memorable stay at the Salthill Hotel. Conveniently located on the prom, close to town and gorgeous views of Galway Bay! The entire staff went out of their way to make our stay top-notch. We loved coming back after a long, day to a meal at the bar, drinks and a chat. The rooms are spacious, clean and have all the amenities for a comfortable stay. I can't wait to return to the Salthill Hotel!

Beautiful views in a lovely hotel

Another wonderful stay at the Salthill Hotel! Have stayed multiple times over the last 10+ years and have never been disappointed. Hotel is well kept, staff is amazing, and location is perfect for a stroll on the beach. The hotel bar makes excellent drinks. We did not end up utilizing the hotel for any of our meals on this trip, but in the past the food has been good.

If its for location ita lovely. However hotel is only interested in making as much money without any decent hospitality to offer.

Worst service imaginable in the Prom Restaurant

We stayed here as a group, for my mother in laws 80th birthday. In total 14 of us. The breakfast is nice and plenty of selection. We booked as a group and asked for a meal on the Saturday night in the prom restaurant to celebrate the birthday. The service was beyond terrible. We were seated and almost immediately the waitress wanted to see our meal vouchers to see what we were entitled to as part of the booking. This was the main concern, rather then creating a nice atmosphere for a family dinner. We were never asked for a drinks order, the food order was taken and again we were reminded that some of us were only entitled to two courses. We had to ask them to take a drinks order after our food order and were again reminded that we would have to pay extra for drinks. We ordered two bottles of wine, two pints of beer and a few soft drinks for the children. After approx 15 minutes waiting we were told they didn't have wine we ordered and to choose another which we did. We got our food, and were nearly finished when the drinks arrived, it was the wine we originally ordered. Taking all this in to account you would assume the restaurant was full to the brim and the staff were rushed off their feet. There were at most 6 other diners in the restaurant. The food itself was tasty and compliments to kitchen for that but has to be said the waiting staff really put a sour taste on the evening and the celebration for us.
