Royal Caribbean introduces Flirty Flamingo, Sassy Starfish and Twisted Turtle to Nassau

Royal Caribbean has revealed a colorful method of transport for guests heading to its new private resort in the Bahamas, introducing a fleet of five water ferries.

The brightly colored ferries will shuttle guests to the Royal Beach Club Paradise Island when it opens in Nassau later this year.

Royal Caribbean's first-of-its-kind beach club is slated to open in December, and when it does, the Bahamian-operated ferries are ready to make a bold impression.

“We are committed to delivering an exceptional, sustainable, and authentically Bahamian experience for our guests,” said Philip Simon, Royal Caribbean Bahamas president.

The ferry fleet is made of the 'Flirty Flamingo' (the Pink one), Sassy Starfish (in Blue), Coral Calypso (Orange), Twisted Turtle (Green) and Lucky Lizard (Turquoise).

Royal Caribbean highlighted that these boats are built with lightweight aluminium hulls and promise quick turnarounds and smooth short transfers between ship and shore.

Each ferry is owned and operated by Bahamas Transport Logistics (BTL), a 100% Bahamian company.

Royal Caribbean's Royal Beach Club, is the cruise industry's next private destination and is joining the trend of bespoke company-operated destinations that are designed from scratch to satisfy the desires of the cruise-going guests.

Whilst other private destinations are distinctly separate from other Caribbean islands, the Royal Beach Club, in Nassau, is intended to be rooted in Bahamian culture.

"At the heart of the experience will be the island nation of The Bahamas," Royal Caribbean said.

"From the idyllic location to the Bahamian food, culture, staff and now the vibrant water ferries, the all-new beach club combines the beauty and spirit of The Bahamas with signature Royal Caribbean touches across the experience, service, and design."
