Royal Caribbean reveals exciting new Legend of the Seas details

Royal Caribbean has unveiled new details about its brand new cruise ship, Legend of the Seas, ahead of its 2026 European season.

Legend of the Seas is due to debut in the summer, with a 7-night maiden voyage departing Barcelona.

By November, Legend of the Seas is slated to make its US debut as it sails out of Fort Lauderdale to the Caribbean for the first time.

It is Royal Caribbean's third Icon class vessel, making it the latest of the cruise brand's 'next-gen' ships following Icon of the Seas and Star of the Seas.

Legend of the Seas features 8 neighbourhoods, and doubles down on family experiences, including headline entertainment, extensive food and drink venues, and thrilling experiences like its top-deck water park and high-wire 'skywalks'.

Once in operation, Legend of the Seas will have more dining venues at sea than any other Royal Caribbean ship, with a total of 28 options.

Among them will be an immersive dining experience aboard 'Royal Railway Legend Station' - a five-course journey, on a simulated train, inspired by the ancient Silk Routes.

Then there's the new Hollywoodland Supper Club, a glitzy, multi-course evening nodding to cinema’s golden age, or the AquaDome Market with a line-up of global bites, along with Royal Caribbean favourites like Chops Grille, Izumi hibachi and Hooked Seafood anchor the roster.

“With Legend of the Seas, we are bringing to life our most legendary vacation yet as we continue to push the boundaries with more of what guests know and love,” said Michael Bayley, Royal Caribbean CEO.

Entertainment aboard Legend of the Seas will spotlight The Royal Theater, host to hit Broadway musical Roald Dahl’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory; the AquaDome’s AquaTheater featuring live shows starring high divers, aerialists and robotics, whilst Absolute Zero will present the cruise line’s largest ice arena.

Across the ship will be more than 20 bars and lounges, from jazz at Lou’s and duelling singalongs at Dueling Pianos to crafted cocktails at 1400 Lobby Bar.

Year one itineraries will include seven-night Western Mediterranean sailings from Barcelona and Rome (Civitavecchia), then six-night Western and eight-night Southern Caribbean voyages from Fort Lauderdale.
