European budget airline Ryanair has announced a new 'landmark' partnership with the owner of the Booking.com, KAYAK and Agoda online booking and ticketing portals.
It is a move that shifts the needle in Ryanair's occassionaly fractuous relationship with third-party online booking websites.
Under the new agreement, guests visiting Booking Holdings' websites will Ryanair flight options to more than 235 destinations, with what the airline said would be "full price transparency".
Ryanair chief marketing officer explained that the partnership would show how approved online travel agents (OTAs) and Ryanair can work together in order to 'protect and benefit consumers, giving them more choice at lower fares'.

Todd Henrich, senior vice president at Booking, meanwhile, added: "this partnership builds on our commitment to provide a trusted, seamless booking experience to customers all over the world.”
Notably, Ryanair said that guests who buy flights via the Booking Holdings websites will be able to access their myRyanair account without completing the airline’s additional customer verification steps, and they'll see essential flight updates directly.
After rows with a number of OTAs in previous years, Ryanair now has a list of 'approved' partner OTAs - with Booking.com, KAYAK and Agoda now joins alongside loveholidays, lastminute, Travelfusion, Paxport, Kiwi, On the Beach, TUI, and Expedia.
