United Airlines is expanding its transatlantic offering, with four new European destinations next summer.
The American operator has announced it will launch nonstop flights from Newark/New York to Split in Croatia, Bari in Italy, Glasgow in Scotland and Santiago de Compostela in Spain.
“United has an unmatched international network, and we pride ourselves on connecting our customers to unique, trendsetting destinations no other U.S. airline serves,” said Patrick Quayle, United senior vice president.
Flights to Split start in late April, followed quickly after by the addition of flights to Bari in early May, and then Glasgow from 8 May, and Santiago de Compostela from 22 May.
United also confirmed a daily flight from Washington Dulles to Iceland's Reykjavik, plus new daily flights between Newark and Seoul, and extra flights to Tel Aviv as well.
The airline said it expects to serve 46 cities across the Atlantic next year, including nine destinations that joined the network via this current year's expansion.
