5 min read

Disney’s Wilderness Lodge at Walt Disney World offers an impressive range of accommodations, combining modern comforts with rustic Pacific Northwest charm.

Whether you’re visiting as a couple seeking a serene getaway or as a large family needing space and convenience, the resort’s room types cater to a variety of travel styles.

From budget-conscious standard rooms to luxurious waterfront cabins, each option is thoughtfully designed to enhance your Disney stay.

Standard Rooms

The standard rooms at Wilderness Lodge have recently been refurbished and now feature hard-surface flooring, elevated beds for storage, and a sleek, modern design that retains the resort’s signature lodge aesthetic.

These rooms are available with either two queen beds or one king bed and can accommodate up to four guests.

Bathrooms feature dual vanities and separate shower/toilet areas, which are ideal for families needing to get ready simultaneously.

Additional touches like backlit mirrors, Keurig machines, and ample USB and power outlets elevate the experience.

The rooms have balconies, furnished with chairs and small tables, making them perfect for morning coffee or evening relaxation.

Choose your view

Guests can choose from several view categories:

Resort View: These vary between overlook courtyards, wooded areas, rooftops or car park areas. This is the default and lowest price.

Water View: Somewhat self-explanatory, these overlook the Bay Lake or the resort’s pool areas. There’s extra cost, but its not the most expensive.

Fireworks View: These are the most popular, and expensive, and, you’ve guessed it - they feature at least a partial view across the lake to see the Magic Kingdom fireworks at night.

While all rooms share the same layout and amenities, the view significantly influences the price.

Some top-floor rooms also offer enhanced privacy and exceptional views.

Choosing a room with a view isn’t always a top priority for guests visiting most theme park resorts - generally, it's a nice-to-have rather than a must-have. But, given that the rooms have great balconies and the setting at Wilderness Lodge is quite special, this might be a resort that it is worth considering the upgrade.

Deluxe Room with Club Level Access

Deluxe Rooms with Club Level access are a premium choice for families or groups up to six.

These rooms are bigger than the standard rooms, and feature two queen beds and a queen-size pull-out sleeper sofa. The pull-out is in its own seating area, with its own TV, so when it is not being used as a bed, it adds a lot more space and effectively gives the feel of a suite.

Located at the end of the main building with views of Bay Lake. The segregated sleeping area / living area makes this room type ideal for extended stays, or larger groups.

Plus, the rooms include additional comforts like plush robes and slippers, welcome gifts, and turndown service.

The bathroom layout typically includes a soaking tub, glass walk-in shower, and separate vanities, some even with double entry access.
