Mad Egg promises “the best damn chicken you have ever tasted”, and, honestly, it’s pretty good.
The chain of four Dublin-based chicken restaurants - one in Liffey Valley, one in Dundrum, and two in the city centre - serves up fun, stylish and tasty casual dining.
Offering a small but appetizing menu, Mad Egg (in their own words) are all about the chicken.
Specialising in Chicken Burgers and chicken tenders with a Mad Egg twist, there is something for the plain to the more adventurous palate. A variety of delicious dips are also available to enhance your choice.
The chicken tenders here are good quality and their BBQ sauce has the perfect tang to accompany them.
If you have someone in your party who loves a bit of a kick to their food, then the Nashville Hot Chick is a great way to test their heat tolerance!
And if that wasn’t enough to satisfy your appetite, the sides are decent too - particularly the crack fries, crack tots and mac ‘n’ cheese.

We ate at the Liffey Valley Mad Egg. The interior has a cool but casual vibe to it and whilst it's quite small, they make good use of the space and really maximise seating options.
Prices for the portion sizes are perhaps a tad on the high side, compared to regular fast food, so that’s something to consider, especially if dining as a family.
Overall though, Mad Egg is definitely one to try for yourself.
