Universal Orlando Resort has revealed it is adding an indoor thrill coaster to Dark Universe, one of the five lands at Universal Epic Universe.
The announcement comes just over a year after the park's debut, and it follows speculation for almost as long about what future attractions might be added, since the new park sits on only a portion of the plot.
The new planned ride will sit next to Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment, and, it will take its story from the Universal Monsters franchise.
Some construction on the project has already begun, although Universal has yet to pindown a specific timeline; instead, it said the coaster will open "in the years ahead".
Thursday's announcement comes alongside a run of other additions due across Universal Orlando Resort over the next year.
Over at Universal Studios Florida will be the highlight with the opening of new roller coaster, Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift in 2027.
Also at Studios will be the reimagined Universal Horror Make-Up Show, featuring Blumhouse, slated to open later this year.
Meanwhile, Universal Islands of Adventure will see the opening of a new full-service restaurant in Jurassic Park, also in 2027. And Luke Combs' Category 10, a music and entertainment venue, is scheduled to open at Universal CityWalk in late 2027.
