The Endless Summer resorts, Surfside and sister resort Dockside, also offer guests more flexible booking options compared to most Universal Orlando resorts, and that makes it ideal for families and bigger groups. For example, the resort's two-bedroom suites sleep up to six and include kitchenettes. It adds a very different kind of option for families planning their trip in the budget tier.

What makes Surfside Inn

Surfside Inn & Suites is a 'value' Universal hotel that's recognisable by its beachy 'SoCal-themed' decor, flexible room and suite options, fun and distinctive surfboard-shaped pool, and its ideal location that's both on the doorstep of Orlando's popular International Drive and also a quick shuttle bus ride from the Universal Orlando parks and Citywalk.

Overwhelmingly, guests find it to be a cheerful, practical base for theme-park trips. It might not be the biggest or as 'all encompassing' as some of the other more expensive Universal Orlando resorts, but it definitely retains a vibrant identity of its own.

A quick note on transport to the parks. Endless Summer Surfside isn't walkable to the Universal Parks or to CityWalk, unlike some of the closer and more expensive resorts. But, like all the others, the Universal hotel operates frequent, no-fuss shuttles that make travelling to and from the parks easy (though, of course, the bus picks can get busy at peak times).

Who Endless Summer Surfside is for, and who may look elsewhere

Surfside Inn & Suites best suits families and groups who plan to spend a lot of their time in the parks, Citywalk, along with the nearby restaurants and attractions of International Drive.

In other words, the resort is targeted at guests who want a good quality stay but plan to invest most of their trip budget doing things outside the hotel grounds.

It is for guests who are prepared to pass on in-resort opulence.

Guests who value cost savings, or who want simple and straightforward on-site benefits like complimentary shuttles and Early Park Admission, prefer the Endless Summer resorts.

As we've already mentioned, the resort is also favoured by larger family groups.

Of course, Surfside Inn & Suites won't be for everyone.

Surfside is a deliberately stripped-back experience, geared to practicality and affordability.

Guests looking for a more elevated, opulent hotel experience will be better served by the significantly more expensive Universal's deluxe resorts like Helios Grand Hotel, the Hard Rock, Royal Pacific, or Portofino Bay.
