Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed new details and impressions of its largest ship to date, the Norwegian Aura.

Aura will add what the line describes as the industry's most expansive Thermal Suite, Tamara-its first speciality Indian restaurant-and The Panorama Room, an LED-driven reimagining of main dining.

The ship's public spaces and food-and-beverage programme are being expanded to 22 outlets across more than 10 cuisines to give families, couples, solo travellers and others more dining and relaxation choices.

“Northern Aura is all about giving guests more of what they love, with spaces and experiences that make vacation feel even easier,” Marc Kazlauskas, president of Norwegian Cruise Line, said.

The Mandara Spa spans two decks and centres on contrast-therapy offerings with 15 thermal experiences including the Sensory Rain Pool, a Snow Cave, a Blue Glow Suite, a Waterfall Experience, a dedicated Foot Spa, a Reflection Pool and guided hot-and-cold plunge sessions.

The spa includes 24 treatment rooms, a full-service salon, Skin Lab, expanded medi-spa services such as IV therapy and NAD+ injections, acupuncture, plus a state-of-the-art fitness centre and training studios.

Tamara on Deck 8 features tandoor ovens and dishes such as Short‑Rib Dosa, Lamb Biryani and a tableside-tossed Green Papaya Salad.

The Panorama Room on Deck 6 uses expansive LED walls, multi-channel audio and synchronized lighting to change scenery throughout the day, with Hudson’s main dining also receiving a redesign.

Ocean Heights will host six slides, an 82-foot Aura Ropes Course, Moon Climber, a nine-hole mini golf course and overhanging cabanas overlooking Vibe Beach Club.

Norwegian Aura will first set sail on a seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Trieste to Barcelona on May 21, 2027, followed by a 13-day transatlantic to Miami and summer 2027/2028 Eastern and winter 2027/28 Western Caribbean seasons.
