Disneyland Paris has confirmed that Disneyland Park will unveil a brand-new daytime parade in 2028, the first new daytime procession at the park since 2017, and one created uniquely for the resort rather than adapted from elsewhere in the Disney portfolio.
The parade is intended to become a new anchor of the park's daytime entertainment offering: a daily show rather than a seasonal or limited-run addition.
Who's in it
Disneyland Paris's 2028 daytime parade is led by Mickey Mouse and his pals, with the procession built around a celebration of timeless Disney magic and the power of dreams. Elegant, state-of-the-art new floats will carry a lineup drawn largely from Walt Disney Animation Studios, including:
The Genie and Jasmine from Aladdin
Tiana from The Princess and the Frog
Rapunzel from Tangled
Miguel from Disney and Pixar's Coco
Concept art released alongside the announcement shows the units moving through Town Square, with a towering Genie float, a Day of the Dead–inflected unit for Coco complete with an alebrije, and performers in costumes that pick up the colour palettes of each film.
The Coco inclusion is a notable one, arriving as the first Coco attraction at any Disney park takes shape in California and a sequel film heads for release.
What Disneyland Paris says
Dana Harrel, Vice President Entertainment at Disneyland Paris, has said the new parade raises the bar, describing parades as part of the DNA of a Disney park and saying that every element from float designs, costumes, and music is being carefully crafted.
What excites her most, she said, is how the creativity speaks across generations: stories that both parents and children will love.
The scale of it
Disneyland Paris's new daytime parade has required more than 10,000 hours of research and technical development and nearly 225 sketches of costumes, wigs and makeup to bring the stories to life, numbers Disney shared to give a sense of the undertaking.
That level of investment reflects the parade's intended role. Disneyland Park has been without a permanent new daytime parade for the better part of a decade, and the 2028 debut positions it as a headline daily draw rather than a supporting act.
Also announced for Disneyland Paris
Disneyland Paris made three major announcements at this year's D23: the new daytime parade, a Space Mountain overhaul and a Lion King attraction. This marks it out as one of the busiest development slates in the resort's history.
Space Mountain is returning to the Moon. Star Wars Hyperspace Mountain closes at the end of 2027 for a refurbishment lasting several months, reopening as Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune. The Jules Verne premise returns, reframed around an idealised era of the first Moon voyages in Discoveryland's steampunk style, with reworked indoor sets, an enhanced queue where guests can watch the trains in motion, new blast-sequence effects and Steve Bramson's original score fully remastered.
The Lion King attraction is under construction at Disney Adventure World. The first-ever immersive world themed to the film centres on a water ride entered through caves beneath a 120-foot-high Pride Rock, retelling Simba's journey from cub to king — including his final confrontation with Scar — with Audio-Animatronics figures, three slopes and a 52-foot drop. It will rank among the largest attractions at the resort.

Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World's D23 announcements span all four theme parks, from a named and storylined Villains Land at Magic Kingdom to a reimagined Spaceship Earth at EPCOT.
Villains Land at Magic Kingdom has a confirmed name and an original storyline: a Wishing Well corrupted by an evil wish, leaking poisoned magic through a dark forest, drawing villains who conjure fortresses from the remaining power.
Its two headliners are a coaster through Maleficent's enchanted briars which Imagineers say will include elements never attempted before, and also a Magic Mirror dark ride into his Mirror Realm.
Carousel of Progress returns late spring 2027. Jamie Lee Curtis and Bryan Cranston join as Sarah and John, all four scenes reset to new decades (1969, 1985, 1999 and a far future), and the previously announced Walt Disney Audio-Animatronic opens the show.
Animal Kingdom's Tropical Americas is nearly fully revealed: Antonio's Fiesta de Encanto, where your ride vehicle is a piece of furniture assembled by Casita and more than 50 Colombian animal species feature; Indiana Jones and the Myth of the Jade Serpent, with an Audio-Animatronic modelled on Harrison Ford himself; and El Carrusel de los Animalitos, a carousel of 22 hand-carved Disney and Pixar animals. The Expedition Everest Yeti is also coming back to life, announced with a Gloria Gaynor rendition of "I Will Survive."
EPCOT's Spaceship Earth is being reimagined for the first time in nearly two decades, broadening from human communication to human connection, and Dreamfinder and Figment return together for the first time since 1998.
Piston Peak gets Cars Ridge Run Rally and Miss Fritter's Daredevil Spin-Along, while Monstropolis opens at Hollywood Studios in 2027 with a Mike and Sulley theatre show and an original Randy Newman song.
Disney Cruise Line
Disney Cruise Line's Disney Believe sets sail in 2027, with Moana welcoming guests in the Grand Hall, Tinker Bell on the bow and Buzz and Woody on the stern. An entirely new class of ships follows in 2029, sized between Disney's classic and newest vessels and designed to reach new destinations.
Everywhere else
Disney's remaining parks (Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disneyland, Hong Kong Disneyland and Shanghai Disney Resort) each drew announcements at D23, from a doubling of Avengers Campus in California to the world's first Spider-Man land in Shanghai.
Disneyland Resort: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab open in 2028, doubling the size of Avengers Campus, with Iman Vellani, Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Chris Hemsworth, Robert Downey Jr. and Brie Larson reprising their roles.
The first-ever Coco ride comes to California Adventure, picking up a year after the film. Tomorrowland at Disneyland park is being reimagined. And 2027 brings back "Remember… Dreams Come True," an updated original "World of Color" and the "Magic Happens" parade.
Tokyo Disneyland: Space Mountain: Earthrise, part of a reimagined Tomorrowland, and Sugar Rush: Sweet Rescue, based on Wreck-It Ralph.
Hong Kong Disneyland: a new Avengers Pavilion home to Avengers Research Testing Labs, plus a Quinjet landing platform.
