Norwegian Cruise Line has unveiled its new show, "Whitney: A Celebration of Whitney Houston", to debut on the Norwegian Aura cruise ship in May 2027.

The ship's new headline production will be a 45-minute original show that will combine live vocals, a live band, contemporary arrangements, visuals and performances beyond the main stage.

NCL highlighted that the show has been developed with the Estate of Whitney Houston and Primary Wave Music, and will be staged in the three‑story Aura Theatre & Club. The production will feature hits including "It's Not Right, But It's OK," "I Will Always Love You," and "I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)".

A singer passionately performs on stage, illuminated by soft lights. The artist is captured mid-performance, showcasing an emotional and powerful expression.

"Following the success of our Prince and Elton John productions on Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna, respectively, this new show reimagines Whitney's legendary catalog through contemporary arrangements, dynamic storytelling, stunning visuals and powerful live performances," said Bryan White, vice president of entertainment production at Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd.

Commenting on Aura's entertainment offering, White added: "Every new ship is an opportunity for Norwegian Cruise Line to push the boundaries of what entertainment at sea can be."

Aura includes "ILLUMINOX: Infinite Wonder Unboxed," a 45-minute illusion and acrobatics spectacular; The Vinyl Republic, a live‑music collective with two signature shows, "Journey Through Rock" and "Kickin' It Country"; and the returning adults‑only "LunaTique: Pop Circus," available for an additional cost.

The Vinyl Republic will perform beyond the theatre, bringing live music to venues such as the Penrose Atrium and Improv at Sea.

Norwegian Aura will begin with a seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Trieste to Barcelona on May 21, 2027, followed by a 13-day transatlantic crossing from Barcelona to Miami before homeporting in Miami.

From June through October 2027 she will sail seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries calling Puerto Plata, St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Stirrup Cay, which will feature the new Great Tides Waterpark.

In winter 2027/28 Norwegian Aura will run seven-day Western Caribbean sailings calling Roatan, Costa Maya, Cozumel and Harvest Caye.
