In-season trip planning just got a lot more straightforward for guests travelling with Delta Air Lines, which has announced it will begin to offer 24/7 live sports programming on international routes.
Delta has struck a new partnership with Sport 24, IMG’s dedicated live sports channel for airlines and cruise ships.
The airline's SkyMiles Members (its free to join) can stream Sport 24 and Sport 24 Extra on personal devices by logging into the Delta Sync Wi‑Fi web player with their SkyMiles credentials, it said.
Sport24 coverage includes the NFL, NBA, Premier League, UEFA competitions, Formula 1 and Grand Slam tennis.
These are the first dedicated live sports channels made for airlines and cruise ships, owned and operated by IMG.
Delta said the service will be available on international routes to and from the US, added that Delta Sync Wi‑Fi already has full coverage across its transatlantic network to Europe, Latin America, Israel and Africa.
“As Delta continues to build for a more global, connected future, we’re focused on making the onboard experience more relevant to where our customers are going and what they care about,” said Ranjan Goswami, Delta’s Chief Marketing and Product Officer.
