United Airlines has announced will add ten international cities beginning March 2027, expanding its transatlantic and transpacific network, adding new routes to airports in Japan and Europe.
It highlighted that the changes will mean it will be the only US carrier to serve several of these new destinations 'nonstop'.
New routes include San Francisco-Okinawa, in March, Newark-Luxembourg in April, and multiple seasonal services from Newark to Ibiza, Valencia, Marseille, Olbia, Catania, Ljubljana and Terceira.
United will also add new routes from Los Angeles to Osaka in March, Washington D.C. to Milan from May, Denver to Paris from May 27, and it will restart flights between San Francisco and Tel Aviv from March.
At the same time, United unveiled its “Born to Explore” Airbus A321XLR aircraft, which will carry guests to the likes of Ibiza, Toulouse and Valencia in Summer 2027, and boasts luxury - including 20 United Polaris suites with privacy doors, 12 United Premium Plus seats - free Starlink Wi‑Fi for MileagePlus members, 4K OLED screened entertainment, a snack bar in United Economy and new Economy Plus seats with extra elbow room and shared tables across an open middle seat.
First, before the summer flights to Spain and France, the A321XLR will begin select domestic routes in September and move onto international service from December, from Dulles to Amsterdam and Dublin.
