It's official: we will have to add a new hotel to our own wishlist because Disney has shared details about the accommodation coming to Disney World next year, and it looks very impressive!

Disney World this week gave guests their first look at Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge's accommodation, which features stylish A-frame 'lakehouses', family villas and suites, and studio rooms.

In total, the resort will have 967 units.

The new nature-inspired resort is opening at Walt Disney World on July 1, 2027. Set on the shores of Bay Lake, the resort interiors have been designed around the natural world, using earthy colours, natural materials and artwork inspired by animated films including Bambi, Encanto, Pocahontas, Fantasia and Brother Bear.

Among the biggest additions are the new one- and two-bedroom Lake Houses, freestanding A-frame retreats overlooking Bay Lake.

Sleeping up to five or eight guests, they are designed to include floor-to-ceiling windows, private waterfront porches, full kitchens and laundry facilities, while Brother Bear provides the design inspiration inside.

Primary bedrooms will also feature lighting designed to evoke the Northern Lights.

Elsewhere, duo studios for two take their cues from Encanto, while deluxe studios and one- and two-bedroom villas draw on the woodland setting of Bambi.

Larger villas will sleep up to nine guests and come with kitchens, washers and dryers, living and dining areas and private patios.

Three-bedroom Grand Villas will accommodate groups of up to 12, with interiors inspired by Fantasia, several bathrooms and views across Bay Lake.

More conventional resort studios will sleep two or four guests and feature artwork and colours inspired by Pocahontas.

Guests booking selected club-level rooms will also have access to The Artist’s Nest, a treetop concierge lounge serving complimentary refreshments and offering views towards the Magic Kingdom fireworks.

At the top end, the two-bedroom Hidden Willow Presidential Suite will sleep six and include a full kitchen, two bathrooms, laundry facilities and access to The Artist’s Nest.

Disney Vacation Club members will get the first opportunity to make rental reservations on October 6, followed by Walt Disney World Annual Passholders on October 7.

General reservations open on October 8 ahead of the resort’s July 2027 debut.
