Jet2 is reminding guests who are due to travel with the airline that power banks and e-cigarettes must be carried in hand luggage and must not be placed in checked or hold baggage.
The airline also advises that such items should be kept in baggage under the seat in front of the passenger, and not in an overhead locker.
When travelling with permitted items containing lithium batteries, Jet2 said they must be turned off, packaged securely with any exposed terminals protected against short circuits, and carried in hand luggage.
"These items are common, but they do need to be carried correctly, and doing so helps us keep everyone safe while they travel," said chief customer officer David Hills.
It added that damaged personal electronic devices or lithium batteries are not permitted on board, and small vehicles powered by lithium batteries, such as hoverboards and balance wheels, cannot be carried in either checked or hand baggage.
