We Are Guests

Walt Disney World's Deluxe resort guests this month got an extra perk, one that promises to make travel day a bit easier.

Through its collaboration with the Lyft ride-hailing Platform, Disney's Minnie Van transport service has been expanded to include airport transfers to Orlando International (MCO).

The service is exclusive to the Deluxe resorts, and hotel guests will pay $199 for the pleasure.

Minnie-vans - polka-dot adorned SUVs driven by Disney Cast Members, and bookable through the Lyft platform - originally launched in 2017, and they have become a fun and convenient way to get around Disney World.

Unlike a regular Lyft ride (or an Uber ride for that matter) the Minnie Van service was restricted to routes within Disney World, and the new airport service appears as a natural extension to the operation.

It comes after Disney World in 2022 stopped running its Magical Express 'complimentary' bus airport transfer that had been in place for all its resort guests since 2005.

Since then, American transportation firm Mears launched the Mears Connect service, which has proved a popular alternative choice for Disney World resort guests, with the shared bus transfer priced at around $17.00 per person, each way, or alternatively, private car transfers are available for substantially more.

The expansion of the Minnie Van service to include airport transfer promises to enhance travel days for guests staying at deluxe resorts - Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club Resort, BoardWalk Inn, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Polynesian Village Resort, Wilderness Lodge, and Yacht Club.

The expansion means guests at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Beach Club Resort, BoardWalk Inn, Contemporary Resort, Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Polynesian Village Resort, Wilderness Lodge, and Yacht Club Resort are all eligible to use the service.
