Disney Lakeshore Lodge will open at Walt Disney World Resort in summer 2027.

The resort on the south shore of Bay Lake will offer 967 rooms, from studios to suites, and will introduce one‑ and two‑bedroom Lake Houses along the waterfront.

A large outdoor recreation area called The Wetlands sits just beyond the lobby and combines a lazy Daydream River, zero‑entry Lakeside Lagoon with a spiral waterslide, and Perspective Pond, home to a leisure pool and whirlpool spa.

Children’s play areas include Heron Shores, a climbing zone, and Otter Springs, an interactive water‑play area inspired by Disney’s Pocahontas, with the Disney Parks Blog quoting the lyric "the heron and the otter are my friends."

Scenic paths through The Wetlands will feature interpretive signs about local flora and fauna and a plaque honoring a historic attraction that once stood on the site.

The resort will be a boat ride from Magic Kingdom and, as a Disney hotel, will offer complimentary resort transportation across Walt Disney World and extra time in the parks.

More details are expected to be released as the property takes shape ahead of the summer 2027 opening.
