Carnival Cruise Line has now officially launched its new loyalty program, Carnival Rewards, which introduces a points-and-status system separating redeemable Carnival Rewards Points from Status Qualifying Stars.

The change means guests earn 3 Points per $1 on eligible Carnival purchases, including gratuities, and 1 Point for every 1 Casino Point remaining at the end of a sailing, with Points posting about 14 days after sailing and redeemable for cruises and eligible onboard experiences such as shore excursions, specialty dining and spa treatments.

“The new program recognizes the many ways our guests engage with Carnival, and with both rewards and status, we’re giving guests more flexibility and more value,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line.

Carnival explained that status is tracked through Stars: guests earn 3 Stars per $1 on eligible purchases and 1 Star per Casino Point, with four tiers, Red (enrolment), Gold (10,000 Stars), Platinum (50,000 Stars) and Diamond (100,000 Stars), and status earned during a two-year qualifying window.

Carnival added that an inaugural qualifying period runs from 1 September 2026 through 31 December 2028, and that a Milestone Recognition Program will mark lifetime sailing days for enrolled members.

The cruise line has also launched a new Carnival Rewards Mastercard which offers accelerated rewards, including a 50,000-point welcome bonus after $1,000 spent in 90 days, up to 6X points on eligible Carnival purchases, 2X at restaurants and groceries, 1X elsewhere, a 0% promotional APR for six months on cruise booking purchases and a 2,500-point anniversary bonus after $2,000 spend.

Carnival said guests can enrol and find full programme details at CarnivalRewards.com.
