Royal Caribbean has announced that it will deploy its iconic Voyager of the Seas across the Asia Pacific region from October 2027 through April 2028, offering itineraries of up to 15‑night journies from Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong.
Voyager of the Seas joins Navigator of the Seas year‑round from Singapore starting October 2026, the newly amplified Ovation of the Seas from Brisbane, Anthem of the Seas from Sydney and Spectrum of the Seas from Shanghai and Hong Kong.
Royal Caribbean described it as its largest Asia Pacific season to date.
“Asia is home to remarkable destinations, flavours and cultures the world over wants to experience,” said Ben Bouldin, Managing Director Asia for Royal Caribbean.
“Even more vacationers can discover the region in the way that best suits them.”
Bouldin added: "This season brings the best of Asia closer to adventurers everywhere. We are especially delighted to offer more holidays in the region than ever before on a ship already loved by guests in Asia.”
Now an older part of the fleet, Voyager of the Seas was a game-changer when it entered service in 1999.
Carrying around 3,600 guests at double occupancy, it was the world’s largest cruise ship at launch and the first of Royal Caribbean’s Voyager class. More importantly, it introduced ideas that helped reshape the modern cruise experience, including the first ice-skating rink at sea, the first shipboard rock-climbing wall and the Royal Promenade - an indoor, shop- and café-lined “main street” running through the heart of the vessel.
Following major refurbishments, most recently in 2019, today Voyager still combines its original features with newer attractions added; including the Perfect Storm racing waterslides, FlowRider surf simulator, laser tag and mini-golf, alongside pools, live entertainment, ice shows and a broad mix of dining and bars.
The Asia Pacific season
From October to December 2027, Voyager will sail 2‑ to 7‑night South Pacific itineraries from Brisbane calling Mystery Island, Port Vila (Efate), Luganville and Noumea before a 2‑night coastal repositioning to Sydney.
Voyager will offer a new 10‑night Christmas sailing from Sydney to New Zealand calling Picton, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and Milford Sound, and a 5‑night Singapore itinerary that visits Ho Chi Minh City (Phuoc An) en route to Hong Kong.
Hong Kong short sailings for Chinese New Year include 4‑ and 5‑night trips to Ishigaki and Okinawa, with select overnights in Okinawa, and other Hong Kong departures call Taipei (Keelung) and Hue/Danang (Chan May), Vietnam.
Voyager’s onboard amenities cited for these sailings include the FlowRider surf simulator, The Perfect Storm waterslides, a rock‑climbing wall, Studio B ice rink, nine‑hole Voyager Dunes mini‑golf, Laser Tag: Battle for Planet Z, Adventure Ocean youth spaces, teen Living Room and dining options such as Giovanni’s Table, Chops Grille and Izumi.
Voyager of the Seas Asia Pacific vacations go on sale from 26 August for sailings out of Brisbane, Sydney, Singapore and Hong Kong homeports.
