Universal Orlando Resort is preparing to make waves on Saturday nights this spring, with the launch of Volcano Bay Nights.
These will be the first-ever nighttime events at Universal’s tropical water theme park.
On select Saturdays - April 12, 26, and May 3, 10, and 17 - guests can enjoy an exclusive after-hours adventure.
The extra-ticketed event (not included in regular vacation ticket packages) promises shorter wait times, live entertainment, meet-and-greets with DreamWorks characters, and complimentary island-inspired treats.
As the sun sets over Volcano Bay, visitors will have after-dark access to some of the park’s most thrilling attractions, including the Krakatau Aqua Coaster, the Ko’okiri Body Plunge, and the Kala & Tai Nui Serpentine Body Slides.

A live DJ will meanwhile spin tunes on Waturi Beach, where guests can also take part in classic island games like hula hoop and limbo beneath the towering Krakatau Volcano.
DreamWorks characters - including Shrek and Fiona, Puss in Boots and Kitty Soft Paws, King Julien and Alex from Madagascar, and the Trolls trio Poppy, Branch, and Guy Diamond - will be in attendance, for unique meet-and-greet photo opportunities.
Guests will be treated to complimentary bites such as Spicy Island Shrimp and Cheesy Cliffside Seashell Pasta.
They can also sip on over 100 beverage options with a complimentary Volcano Bay Freestyle Souvenir Cup, while additional speciality food and drinks will be available for purchase at locations including Kohola Reef Restaurant & Social Club, Dancing Dragons Boat Bar, and Koka Poroka Ice Cream Kona.

Tickets for Volcano Bay Nights are on sale now for $99 plus tax per person.
The event is slated to start at 7:00 pm, but ticket holders can arrive as early as 4:00 pm to enjoy the water park for a few hours before the exclusive experience kicks off.
Guests seeking an extra level of luxury can book private cabanas, for $249.99, bookable in-park on a first-come, first-served basis at Volcano Bay’s concierge huts.
