Universal Orlando has today given a glimpse of some of the merchandise coming to its brand new theme park, Epic Universe, when it opens in May.
Epic Universe will be home to more than 20 retail outlets, across its five theme park areas - Super Nintendo World, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Ministry of Magic, How to Train Your Dragon Isle of Berk, Dark Universe, and Celestial Park.

“The groundbreaking, immersive worlds of Epic Universe created the dream opportunity for us to design a first-of-its-kind merchandise program that brings these iconic stories to fans in new and innovative ways,” said Justin Lafoe, Universal’s global parks merchandise and retail officer.
Lafoe added: “We are thrilled to bring fan-favourite worlds to life and give guests the chance to bring home a piece of their adventures with them.”
Not only is it a lot of stores, it's a lot of new intellectual property (IP) to be merchandised!

Isle of Berk, an incredibly immersive and larger-than-life kingdom of Vikings and Dragons, has a distinct style and that extends all the way through to its retail spots and merchandise.

Guests likely won’t get too far into Isle of Berk before seeing someone with a bit of Thoothless the dragon merch upon them - whether its a tee shirt, hat, hoodie, bag or something else.

At the ‘Viking Traders’ store, guests will have the opportunity to get their Viking cosplay.
Meanwhile, in ‘Hiccup’s Work Shop’, wannabe dragon trainers can buy their crossbody egg carriers that can home a plush dragon to take with them throughout the park.

For guests with a sweet tooth, the ‘How to Treat Your Dragon’ confectionary store will stock ‘mystery’ chocolate eggs, including a trading card, all packaged in a dragon house (not unlike The Wizarding World’s Chocolate Frogs).
Also look out for marshmallow sheep and other Viking and dragon delights.
